AGM registration starts at noon. All Workshop attendees are encouraged to attend the AGM but only CNAM members in good standing will be able to vote. If you are a CNAM member not attending the Workshop but would like to attend the AGM, please RSVP to admin@cnam.ca by Friday, April 26, 2013 at noon MT.

CNAM Call for Nominations

The Canadian Network of Asset Managers is seeking enthusiastic candidates to stand for election to the CNAM Board of Directors. All member categories (except students) are eligible to run for office.

If you are committed to playing a leadership role in the community of practice for municipal infrastructure asset management, possess strong strategic management skills, have the time to dedicate to strategize and execute board initiatives, and are passionate about building CNAM as an association, please consider a nomination. If you are a current CNAM board member with your term expiring and you would like to run again, you must submit new nomination papers following this process.

Nominations due on or before noon (MT) on Friday, April 5, 2013.

There are currently up to six (6) opportunities available:

  • NWT
  • First Nations
  • Director at Large (3 positions, 2-year term)
  • Director, Non-Municipal (1 position, 2-year term)

 

CNAM is a non-profit industry organisation established by municipalities for municipalities to promote industry awareness and knowledge transfer of municipal infrastructure asset management principles, practices and experiences.  CNAM strives to make available to all Canadian municipalities information and knowledge to continually improve and engage in asset management practices that facilitate accountable infrastructure decision-making, and advocate the need for safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure.

To serve on the CNAM Board of Directors, the following prerequisites and competencies are required:

  • CNAM Member in good standing (any member category except student)
  • Demonstrated leadership in the practice of asset management
  • Previous board experience, or other related strategic management experience
  • Able to commit 8–10 hours per month for board and committee meetings as well as strategizing and executing board initiatives
  • Support of your employer (including financial support)

Individuals may nominate themselves by providing a brief biography including:

  • your full name
  • contact information
  • current role/responsibilities (maximum 100 words)
  • previous related experience (maximum 100 words)
  • your interest and vision for CNAM (maximum 100 words)
  • Must be submitted in WORD format

 

This is your opportunity to really sell your qualifications and vision for CNAM. Bios will be sent to CNAM members as provided, so please carefully proofread your submission to ensure you put your best foot forward. Please note the word counts outlined above will be adhered to – bios exceeding the word limits will be cut off at the 100-word maximum.
